THE SONG REMAINS THE SAME is the soundtrack to the legendary concert film of the same name, which was released in 1976. The performances in the film were recorded July 27-29, 1973 at Madison Square Garden during the band’s tour for its then-current studio album, Houses Of The Holy.The Super Deluxe Boxed Set will be the most exquisite and elaborate release in the reissue series, recreating the intricate embossing of the set’s original issue and will also mark the first time the full length film and soundtrack have been available in the same package. -The Super Deluxe format includes:

In the Summer of 1989, word was out that the Grate... Moreful Dead were recording their summer tour for an upcoming live album. Thankfully, word later spread that they were also recording the magnificent Fall Tour of 1989. And then the equally great Spring Tour of 1990. Just before the Dead split for Europe in the Fall of 1990, they surprised their fans with the release of the long-awaited live album, showing off their late-Brent era excellence. Mixed from the 24-track analog master tapes, the album was a sonic wonder, filled with some of the best material played by the Dead on the last tours featuring Brent Mydland, who would pass away before the album was completed. This version recorded on the Dump Mobile Unit in the south of France where Matador sent us to write songs for a proposed musical based on the popular television program Small Wonder. “ BLITZKREIG BOP” - Feb ‘93 We gave this to a Japanese fanzine, but I have no memory which one.
